Don Schecter has degrees in both arts and engineering. Now retired in Texas, he travels extensively and writes fiction. His work has appeared in magazines and on internet sites under the name Tecumseh. Heights of Passion was his first collection of short stories, focusing on the many aspects of the older gay man. A second volume of short stories, Out of the Box, was published in Sep 2009. Don enjoys cooking, traveling, and working out to keep in shape. His stories are inspired by everything from his own experiences to tales told him by friends. He hails from Forest Hills, NY and is a retired electronics engineer who worked thirty-seven years for the National Security Agency. Out of the closet for almost two decades, Don enjoys a close friendship with his wife, and considers his relationship with his two daughters to be among his most valuable and important. In addition, Don has two grandchildren he adores. He is an avid reader, and corresponds regularly with his many fans, spending time online with a wide range of friends from all over the world.
